Terms of Service

CVCheck (cvcheck.app) is an AI-powered tool that analyzes CVs and returns a score, detailed diagnostic, and actionable improvement suggestions. The analysis is generated by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic.

The feedback is intended to be helpful and honest, but it is generated by AI and reflects one perspective. It is not a guarantee of any employment outcome. Different recruiters, companies, and industries have different expectations — treat the analysis as a useful signal, not a definitive verdict.

By accessing or using CVCheck, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users — free, Pro, and Premium.

By using CVCheck, you agree to:

• Only submit content you own or have the right to share (your own CV, your own website).
• Not submit content containing personal data of third parties without their consent.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service or its APIs.
• Not create multiple accounts to circumvent the free analysis limit.
• Not use CVCheck for anything unlawful or harmful.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms, without prior notice.

Each person is entitled to one free analysis, tracked by account or IP address. Creating multiple accounts or using proxies to obtain additional free analyses is a violation of these terms and may result in account suspension.

Pro — €1.99 (one-time): A single payment that permanently unlocks the full analysis for one CV — including bullet rewrites, red flag fixes, missing ATS keywords, and priority actions. This is not a subscription and does not renew.

Premium — €5.99/month: A recurring monthly subscription that unlocks unlimited analyses and full job matching with fit scores. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period after cancellation.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, email us at hello@cvcheck.app within 7 days of payment and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked. After 7 days, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

For Premium subscriptions, refunds apply only to the most recent billing period. We do not issue partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.

You retain full ownership of your CV and any content you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it through our systems (including Anthropic's API) solely for the purpose of generating your analysis.

We do not claim any ownership over your content. We do not use your CV content to train AI models, share it with third parties for commercial purposes, or use it for any purpose beyond running the service.

CVCheck is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• We are not liable for employment decisions made based on our AI feedback.
• We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or errors in the analysis.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

The CVCheck name, logo, interface, and underlying technology are owned by the operator of cvcheck.app. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any part of the service without written permission.

The analysis output generated for your CV is yours to use freely — share it, act on it, or ignore it as you see fit.

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion removes your personal data and analyses within 30 days.

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. Where possible, we will notify you of the reason. Active Premium subscriptions will be canceled and prorated refunds issued if we terminate your account without cause.

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Romanian courts. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also be entitled to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We may update these terms from time to time. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of CVCheck after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
